Sohum Mountain Healing
While we love time spent in Costa Rica, Asheville NC is where our roots are firmly planted. We have
been working with the incredible ownership team at Ayurprana to Master Plan a Health and Wellness
reatreat center based around the practice of Ayurvedic medicine. The project sits on a pristine 200
acres just north of Asheville and includes a hotel, guest residences, treatment rooms, and soak pools all
focused on an immersive experience with the natural surroundings. Our team is guiding this project
through a Conditional Zoning approval process with approval expected in May 2023.
Buen Camino San Mateo
While spending a good bit of time in Costa Rica, we were introduced to a piece of property in San Mateo
that was ripe for development into Costa Rica’s first purpose-built mountain bike park. In collaboration
with our friends at The CJI Group, we Master Planned and renovated a 10-room boutique hotel,
restaurant, and 287 acres of machine-built mountain bike trails. Buen Camino……Eat Sleep Ride
Eterna San Juanillo
After the success of Alegria, we continued our work in Costa Rica designing the Master Plan for the
Eterna community in San Juanillo, Costa Rica. Situated on the pacific coast north of Nosara, this
property has extensive oceanfront access. Community elements include residential lots, commercial
spaces, festival/event area, and extensive gardens and food-forest reforestation. This project is
currently in the permitting process.
Alegria
Working with our long-time colleagues at The CJI Group, we spent a week in San Mateo, Costa Rica with
a select project team to oversee the creation of the conceptual Master Plan for a regenerative eco-
community located on 70 hectares. The master plan included residential lots, common spaces, hiking
and biking trails, along with organic garden spaces and preserved forest areas. Currently, homes are
being constructed and the community is coming alive.
Ride Rock Creek
After working with the ownership team to secure permitting at Ride Kanuga, our team was
commissioned to design the overall Master Plan for this new downhill mountain bike park and
hospitality project. Several days were spent traversing the site to determine the opportunities and
constraints of the land and working within the jurisdictional requirements, we created the roadmap to
get the project opened through an agri-tourism classification within the NC Forestry program. Ride Rock
Creek will be hosting the 2023 Gravity Mountain Bike National Championships.
